LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for Homes is a national residential green building program developed through a consensus process by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
The USGBC is a non-profit organization with more than 15,000 member organizations all working to improve the triple bottom line: people, planet, and prosperity. LEED homes have lower energy and water bills, reduced greenhouse gas emissions and fewer problems with mold, mildew, and other indoor toxins.
We are a LEED for Homes Provider, working with Green Raters to promote LEED for Homes, conduct training, perform preliminary ratings, provide technical support, perform verifications and testing, and complete the documentation required to achieve project certification.
We provide support to LEED for Homes Green Raters and project teams throughout the country (except CA and FL) and have a unique business model that is based on client needs. If a project team wants to work with us directly, we can help them assemble the verification team and provide management over the verification process.
If the project team wants to deal with a local green building expert, they can contract directly with the LEED for Homes Green Rater who will then contract with us for our technical assistance and quality assurance oversight services.
This business model lets the client get it the way they want it – don’t you deserve to have that choice?
Our expertise in the LEED for Homes program is unparalleled. As a peer-recognized expert in green building, we can get you the right answers to your questions.
For our Green Rater clients, we do not insist on exclusive contracts- if you can find another Provider that delivers the value we do at a lower cost- go for it!
