Understanding HVAC Load Calculations, System Selection
The 8 hour presentation will show the data and input required to perform an accurate ACCA Manual J load calculation. The student will learn how to read the output reports from Manual J and what information to look for. The student will also learn how to use the Manual J reports to perform the Manual S process to select the right size equipment, what is involved in performing a Manual D calculation and the interaction between the three ACCA Manuals.& Design Procedures
Helpful Background Knowledge To successfully complete this course, you should know general construction practices, be able to read blueprints and be able to identify construction materials. Instructor: Dennis Stroer has been an HVAC contractor for more than thirty years. He brings a wealth of practical knowledge and experience in dealing with HVAC issues in high performance homes. He is working on Building America projects, including some in San Antonio, TX. He is also a HERS Rater and the Chair of the HVAC subcommittee for the RESNET Technical Committee. **You must provide your valid Drivers License number at time of registration or you will be refused admittance to the facility.
